OverviewThis qualification is suitable for anyone with an interest in special fashion and photographic make-up as a career. Also for those with good colour sense. The main objective of this Diploma is to detail the application of Bridal; Contemporary; Avant-Garde; Era/Period; Fantasy; Colour and Black & White Photographic; Special Occasion Makeup; Fashion Trends and associated Makeup; Cosmetic Camouflage; Airbrush Makeup; Media Makeup; Face and Body Art; Scar Effects. It has been specifically designed to develop practical skills in how to provide fashion and photographic make-up for Fashion Shows, Photo Shoots, Television, Film and Artistic Makeup Assignments. 

This course is ideal for: 

  • Candidates wishing to start a career in professional make-up 
  • To work freelance doing bridal & special occasion make-up 
  • To work in a retail environment, selling make-up, advising on skincare and make-up 
  • Those wishing to progress on to more advanced make-up course which included airbrush makeup, camouflage, film and theatrical effects
Entry RequirementsCandidate must be at least 18 years of age, literate in written and spoken English. 
Is required to purchase uniform, own a photographic camera and build up own makeup kit & tools.
In accordance to VTCT requirements, learners will be expected to wear professional uniform for practical sessions. 
Learners must have full dexterity, good standard of personal presentation and the ability to work with others. 
Learners need to provide models for all practical assessments and will also be required to practice techniques outside college hours.
